Aslon EPDM tiles have a top layer made from EPDM rubber. EPDM rubber is a new, colourfast synthetic rubber.
Three types of tiles with an EPDM top layer are available; each with their own specific structure and made from different materials.
1. Rubber tile with a coated EPDM top layer:
This tile has a coated EPDM top layer and an SBR underlayer.
2. Rubber tile with a full-colour EPDM top layer:
This tile has a full-colour EPDM top layer and an SBR underlayer. This tile has also been treated with a UV-resistant adhesive.
3. Rubber tile made completely from EPDM:
This rubber tile is made completely from EPDM with a full-colour top layer treated with UV-resistant adhesive.
Aslon EPDM tiles are suitable for sport and play and have been tested for various fall height Head Injury Criterion (HIC) values. Aslon EPDM tiles comply with the strictest standards for impact protection set by EN1177:2008 and EN 1177:2017.

Dowel joints
Dowel joints are available on Aslon EPDM tiles. On two edges of each tile there are four holes. Four plastic pins are inserted into these holes allowing the tiles to be joined together.
